CamMicGo
Accessible and multilingual device testing
CamMicGo is designed so that device testing is useful to more people, not only users who can comfortably read a dense technical interface. The same tests can be used in 11 languages, with guided voice reading and visual status cues that do not rely on colour alone.
Eleven languages, one set of tests
CamMicGo provides the same core webcam, microphone, headphone, display, network and gaming-device tests in English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Russian and Italian. Language switching is part of the product rather than a separate translated marketing page.
- Interface labels, test explanations and troubleshooting guidance change with the selected language.
- The page language and text direction are updated for the selected locale, including right-to-left layout for Arabic.
- The guided voice reader follows the selected language and uses an installed matching system voice when available.
Guided voice reading
The built-in reader can speak navigation, controls, test explanations, results and footer content. It is intended to help users who prefer listening, have low vision, or need support when reading technical information.
- Playback can be paused, resumed or stopped.
- Selecting another language during playback switches the reading language and resumes from the current area instead of restarting the entire page.
- Interactive controls are announced with their role and current state where possible.
Status information without colour alone
Test feedback should remain understandable when colour perception differs. CamMicGo includes an optional Okabe–Ito colour palette and combines colour with symbols, labels, patterns or text so a pass, warning or problem is not communicated by colour alone.
Keyboard and focus support
A strengthened focus mode adds a visible outline to keyboard-reached controls and sections. Controls are labelled for assistive technology, and interactive elements expose states such as expanded, selected, checked or disabled where the browser supports them.
Privacy remains the same in accessibility mode
Accessibility features do not change how device data is handled. Webcam and microphone streams are analysed locally in the browser whenever possible; enabling voice reading does not upload your camera or microphone recordings to CamMicGo.
