CamMicGo
Privacy policy and legal notice
CamMicGo is designed so that your camera and microphone never leave your browser. This page explains who runs the site, what data is processed, why, for how long, and how you can control it.

Camera, microphone and recordings
The webcam, microphone, headphone and other device tests run in your browser using its built-in media APIs. The live video and audio streams are analysed locally on your device and are not uploaded to CamMicGo.
- Recordings made in the microphone test stay in your browser’s memory. They disappear when you delete them or leave the page, unless you choose to download them yourself.
- Measurements such as resolution, frame rate, sound level or scores are calculated on your device and are not stored on our servers.
- Access to your camera or microphone is only possible after you allow it in your browser, and you can withdraw it at any time in the browser settings.
Internet test
The internet test exchanges blocks of random data with our server to measure latency, download and upload speed. These blocks contain no personal information and are discarded immediately after the measurement.
Data stored on your device
To remember your preferences, CamMicGo stores a few values in your browser: your language (also in a “cammicgo-lang” cookie), light or dark theme, accessibility and read-aloud options, webcam autostart and the last camera you selected. These values stay on your device and are only used to make the site work as you set it.
Audience measurement
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) measures visits and page views in aggregate. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only used if you consent; without consent, Google may receive cookieless signals only. Data is kept for at most 14 months.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics measures traffic in aggregate and, according to its publisher, does not use cookies.
Advertising
CamMicGo is free and funded by advertising served by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited). Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads, limit how often you see them and measure their performance.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message certified by Google asks for your choice before any personalised advertising. You can change your choice at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of each page.
- You can learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com.
Legal bases
- Consent: analytics and advertising cookies in the regions listed above.
- Legitimate interest: security, fraud prevention and technical logs needed to operate the site.
- Strictly necessary: storing your language and display preferences at your request.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent by email to the publisher through Resend (Resend Inc., United States) and received in the publisher’s mailbox via Cloudflare Email Routing. They are used only to answer you and are kept no longer than necessary for that exchange (at most 3 years after the last contact). Cloudflare Turnstile may be used to block automated spam.
Hosting and transfers outside the EU
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States, which processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs for security and delivery. Google and Vercel may process data outside the European Union under appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. Because CamMicGo does not create user accounts and does not upload your recordings, it generally holds no data that identifies you directly. To exercise your rights, write to the publisher at the address below. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Changes
This policy may be updated when the site or the services it uses change. The date of the latest update is shown below.
