CPU load & stability check

CPU Load Test

Put one or more logical processor threads under a controlled browser load and watch whether throughput holds steady or falls over time.

This is not a benchmark. The passes-per-second figures are produced by this browser, on this machine, during this run. They are useful for comparing the machine against itself over time, not against another computer or a leaderboard.

What to look for

A line that stays level

A persistent step down can be consistent with thermal throttling, a power limit, battery saver or competing background work.

Single vs multi

Different questions

One thread is a lighter sustained load. All reported threads are more useful for checking cooling response and stability under heavy browser work.

Browser limits

What we cannot read

A web page cannot reliably read CPU temperature, clock speed or fan RPM. Use a local hardware monitor if you need those values.

Keep this tab visible while testing. Browsers can throttle background tabs.

Understand your results and improve your setup

A good test should not stop at a score. Use these practical checks to understand what the browser measured, what can affect the result, and what to change before your next call, stream or gaming session.

What the result represents

The test measures work completed by JavaScript under the current browser conditions. It is useful for relative comparisons on the same machine, but browser version, thermal state, power plan and background tasks affect the result.

Thermal throttling

Performance can fall during a longer run if the processor reaches thermal or power limits. A drop does not automatically mean a defective CPU.

Why CamMicGo goes further

  • ✓ Private by design: tests and recordings are processed locally in your browser whenever possible.
  • ✓ Multilingual by design: the same diagnostics and explanations are available across CamMicGo languages.
  • ✓ Practical diagnostics: CamMicGo focuses on repeatable browser measurements and explains their limits instead of presenting them as laboratory certification.
